Hans Välimäki

Chez Dominique's capo di tutti capi, Hans Välimäki was born in the beginning of seventies and started his kitchen career at the tender age of 12 by baking pulla (sort of pastry) for his friends. Mr Välimäki describes himself happy, positive and outgoing person.

• Owner and chef at Chez Dominique since 1998
• Chez Dominique received its first Michelin Star in 2001 and his second star in 2003
• Restaurateur of The Year 2003, International Food & Beverage Forum
• Hans has written several cookbooks. "Koti keittiössä" (At home in the Kitchen, Otava) was selected the Cookbook of the Year in 2004
• Has also written a book on his restaurant (Chez Dominique, Otava 2004), on grilling (Grillistä, Otava 2005) a book on desserts (P.S., Otava 2007). Other cookbooks include: "Lusikka Soppaan", "Mummola", "Välimäki" and "Ruokaa Ranskasta"
• Hans is the head judge at the tv show "Top Chef Finland" 2011
